Great points. Particularly, we were surprised during our visit how reasonably priced items were in the chain stores. I guess I was expecting a big jump in prices given the remoteness. Enjoy Alaska, we can't wait to come back!

Welcome to Alaska. There is almost 300 miles of trails just around Anchorage area. If you guys like getting out going for hikes, camping, fishing, etc. I would suggest getting a strong firearm and getting very well acquainted with it.
