Hey Ryan! I am glad we worked together that second half through mile 20. HAHA thanks for the shout out! Shout out to you as well. At 19, I could only think about wrapping up my freshman year of college, definitely not running a marathon. Takes a lot of commitment and dedication to train for it and you killed it. Cheers and see you around. If you are ever in Portland, hit me up.

Trains 2 days a week, runs marathon at 6 min pace. Then quits running. What a legend

You are a high key cinematographer my friend! This is amazing.

The key to running fast is not in the training you do, but from the bottle, you drink from. NEPTUNE IS PED, NEPTUNE IS KEY!

Ryan, I don't got to tell you what to do man. But a 2:36 with like 20 mile weeks (2 days a week) is literally incredible. Get some solid training in, with some solid guys, refine your workouts to be marathon specific and develop that aerobic base again and I promise you you can break 2:20 eventually. You seriously might have the talent to be an olympian. Don't waste that.

You could probably get the US Olympic Standard (2:18) if you legitimately trained... don't waste talent you'll regret it later in life

You should train seriously for your next marathon. You could actually get into elite American running. Imagine if you did those high mileage weeks. Olympic trials 2020???

Great Job Ryan. You are amazing. I knew you could do it under 2:40 in the marathon. I love my Neptune bottle so much and it has made me drink more water.

How’d you run sub 2:40 with 2 days of running a week? That almost seems impossible :0

Superb running Ryan. Quite the risk you took but it's definitely your style to break the mold. I have a marathon coming up in August and my goal is sub 2:40. I want to challenge you to a race of some kind, but I'll prove myself first by running a time equivalent to yours. Once I accomplish this goal you'll be hearing from me. Despite your marathon success, I find it completely reasonable why you want to avoid regular marathons at such a young age. You're making the right call. You can always run them later on. Cheers!

I love the clips at the start of the video. It's pretty interesting how your first sub 5 mile was also a sub 4:50

Ryan. Before my regionals, I was in the porta-potty and I watched the intro to your video 😅 it really resonated with me and I needed up placing 4th. Thank you Ryan, you are such a role model!

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS VIDEO ALL. WEEK. IT TOTALLY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. YOU ARE A LEGEND. You really inspired me at the beginning man. I am 13 years old and my fastest mile is a 6:20 and it's sort of discouraging because some people are so fast. It was really inspiring to see that you struggled too. (I hope you take that the way I meant it---if you read this comment.) I just want to say thank you. This is great. You are an inspiration. I hope you keep it up! That's about all. Thank you SO much. Audios.
