2021 BMW 128ti F40 exhaust sound (stock system) Australian Spec

Hi everyone! Kai here from Melbourne, Australia and welcome to my YouTube Channel!

Here's a short clip of a 2021 BMW 128ti F40's exhaust sound. This is a stock BMW exhaust system - no mods. This was on Comfort mode. The engine has been detuned from 195kW to 180kW and 400Nm to 380Nm for the Australian market. Best to listen through a pair of good closed-back headphones.

It has a flap in the right tip?? M135i has it in the left one!

The sound is a let down for me. Given that it's the same engine as the M135i and that same engine is in the Mini Countryman JCW 2022. You should hear how amazing the Mini exhaust sounds... These OPF filters are not cool. BMW SA quoted me R200k for the akrapovic exhaust!
