Fellas, I gotta be honest with you, this is the most excited I have ever been for a display period. The LG G5 is the best OLED that I have ever seen in my life based on my hands-on time at CES. And I got great news because you can now go ahead and pre-order it from their website.

And I'll be honest with you guys, this is definitely going to be a really strong contender for one of the best TVs in 2025 and the best displays period because they're moving up to 165 Hertz. They're going back to the C series coding. So it's gonna look midnight black, whether you're in a dark room or you're in a bright room, that cannot be said for Samsung or anybody else. LG has the absolute best glossy coding and it is not even close and they're bringing it back. They're ditching MLA and going back to that, which is excellent.

Funny how we have a large choice of WOLED and QD-OLED monitors with high refresh rates available already. But there's no contest. TVs like the G5 provides an immersive experience.

Do NOT buy the 97" version, its not going to be the tandem panel. Just like how the G4 didnt have MLA. Never go 97" or below 55" if you want all the new tech and panel features. They always gimp them.

My iPad Pro uses Tandem OLED it is absolute insane. I compared it to my LG OLED Ultrawide 1440p and it was a night and day difference. If the TV is as good as the iPad display then that is crazy.

I'm currently using a 65" LG CX for my main TV. I'm really wanting to upgrade to the 77" LG G5 this year...I look forward to seeing the nitty gritty reviews on it. Don't get me wrong, the CX is quite honestly still fantastic...but that G5 looks like it's really promising.

As fantastic as LG OLEDs are, they're notoriously expensive at launch. I learned my lesson with the 65" C1 which dropped about £800 in less than a year, so I'll be getting this one when it's on sale. Plus, it gives me time to watch reviews and compare it to other brands with similar quality.

how is it unbeatable though, when you have not compared it to the new samsung models? it seems shady, the kind of pre-release hype this model is getting.

I've been using the 55" C1 on my primary gaming PC for the last four years and I had a Samsung QLED before that. "Gaming Monitors" are a bad value for the performance, and it's really nice keeping a 3 foot deep desk between you and your monitor (at which point you have the same FoV as 32" at a 2 foot deep desk).

Looks great... just got my G4 77" though last year with that bundled subwoofer for $2700 though. I wish there was like 2-3 years in between models. I only really use this at like 20% brightness anyways... gets eye searing at 60%+.

Bro please review the 48 inch G5 if you can get your hands on it as its about the largest size a lot of people can go for a monitor/bedroom TV. Its brighter than the C5 but not as bright as the larger G5 sizes so it'd be nice to see exactly where it stands between them

i mean yea this will be more than a great TV but 3400$ for a 65in TV is almost criminal
