Update: So I just found out about that interview with one of the creators of the franchise and apparently that wasn't the intention of the song but it's still something to think about.

i think the creator stopping rose from dying is mike in denial about his mothers death. think about it, and it could be that the credits song is mike coming to the realisation of what happened. heather and mike were asked about what happened that day, and they show what happened in detail in the credits. this is point where mike realises that his mother is dead.

And a little side note, this game was actually released on my 9th birthday on October 27th, 2009. Talk about feeling old, am I right?

Watching this in 2019, found my old DS and started playing the Drawn To Life series again. This song was heavily repeated when I got up to it years ago. I remember recording it so I could listen to in on my MP3 😂😂😂 Hayley Chipman has such a beautiful voice, provokes so much emotion 😭

Though I was too oblivious to see how emotional this was when I was a kid, on my last playthrough about a year or two ago, I teared up... Man the feels are strong with this song... It gives me chills even...

Randomly found this game at Goodwill. I bought it to use its box for another DS game in my collection. Then I tried it out and couldn't believe a cute game like this would have such a deep emotional story, the ending is one of the darkest/saddest endings I've seen in a video game.

Playing this game when you were a kid you’d always skip the conversations and play the levels for fun and not caring about the story.

But playing this when you get older you realise this game is an underrated gem of an emotional roller coaster game. 😢
