The opposite happened to me when I was 12 and looking after my baby cousin for literally a couple of minutes, while my auntie (his mum) went into the post office. An old lady came up to me, disgusted, and asked me his name and how old he was, so I told her. She then paused and told me that she thought I was too young to have a child and then walked away. I was speechless! This happened in 2005/2006 and I still think about it sometimes.

The more i learned about this movie, the more i realized like in this scene… people probably would see her father as her brother also because her father style… her father inner’s childhood/youth still trapped inside him alongside with his depression. This is the most heartbreaking movie of the year for me. I watched the movie and i cried entire night on my way home. This movie is giving really strong for the ambience. For me this kind of ambience only happened with this movie and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

When Im out with my teen girls, most people tell me they thought I'm their big brother. Love it. Cherish it before all the grey and wrinkles and old-man-ness comes out.

An A24 movie? I feel the sudden urge to believe everything they do is deep and profound.

I feel that though, got the reverse. Took my little brothers to a waterpark, and some kids thought I was their mum... like, y'all, I can barely take care of myself

This is my life 😂
Playing with my 3 kiddos at the park and running around with them, 90% of the time the other kids are shocked to hear I'm not their older sister 😆 I've also been assumed to be their baby sitter or nanny by other adults. Cracks me up and I don't mind because it just means I look young and might continue to haha

This movie stayed with me for days. Indeed, as I think of this movie now, I'm still not over it.

I had a waitress ask me if my daughter was my sister, too. I had my daughter young and I look a few years younger than my actual age, or so I've been told. It's weird going to her school and seeing that I'm the youngest dad there.

I dated a guy who was 35 when I was 22. He didn't tell me he had kids. Then I met them and they were 18 and 17. I had to end the relationship because amongst everything else I couldn't raise someone my age.
