Since seeing this film, Under Pressure has taken on a completely different meaning to me.

The last scene of this film gutted me. He shuts the camera and walks away into his daughter's memories. The only place people who've left us still remain

Aftersun ripped my heart out from right under me. Psychologically intruding masterpiece.

This song feels like you're standing on the edge of the existence, as if there's noting but the depression pouring into your mind and putting it in chains of some vague, nostalgic or melancholic feeling. The soundtrack beautifully expresses and complements the plot of this film. A pure masterpiece.

You WILL cry watching this movie.

Either during it or after it’s over.

I love how the movie is happy to run at a very slow pace instead of trying to add to much conflict between the two main characters and let’s you spend time getting to know them which makes the ending even more brutal.

I don't think I've ever been this mad at The Academy for overlooking such a phenomenal film since The Lighthouse.
What a beautiful and exceptional film -- especially from a first-time director!

As I watched this movie I felt so touched because they had such an amazing love for each other as father and daughter (I never experienced that) but then I slowly realized what the dad was feeling the entire time and I was devastated (my sister also has depression) and the ending literally made me cry, I still can't stop thinking about this movie and how tragic and beautiful it is...

A masterpiece about making sense of our memories, and an expression of grief. SO beautifully shot.

I'm fucking obsessed with this film right now I feel like I'm going crazy. It feels like a long time since a movie created such an emotional response from me.

I honestly agree that this movie deserves more than a single nomination, and many may connect or others abhor it, the movie is quite moving and depressing at the same time, and it would have been great if they nominated for best director, best screenplay, or best movie But yes, the nomination for best actor for Paul Mescal is pure gold and he deserves it, his performance is the best and he captivated me, we'll see how he does today at the Oscars because everyone in the best category actor, everyone (including him) is the best.

PS: Who else cried while listening to Under Pressure???

I never felt so hurt by a movie before. The music feels like a sharp knife slowly tearing into the fibres of my heart.

Great work man, this movie is my favourite of 22'. The end truly left me with heartache.

For me, who lost my father this year, being 21 years old, and having two conflicting emotions as my last memory, this film is devastating. You don't even need to identify with the situation, because the direction of this film makes everything universal, but for me it was stronger because as much as I believe that I gave my father a good life, this film showed me that nothing is enough and that no matter how much these figures hurt us, I feel that It could have been better, I I wish he had retired, that he could finally rest and I could do something for him but he was taken away.

This film remembers me to much of my aunt, in 2020 she commited suicide, now i understand why she sleeped too much in the afternoons, why she always tried to give us presents. My biggest regret was not say i love you, while i could.

Auntie i hope your are in peace with grandpa, love ya.
