Your videos will help me refresh my knowledge of C#. Got a new working student job. Looks like I have to say goodbye to Java for now and welcome back C#.

I just installed Visual Studio on a mac and it does not feel to have half the resources and the potential as in a Windows.
Am I right?

EDIT: Awesome video, I forgot to mention. A really step-by-step experience. Because Visual Studio can really be overwhelming at first sight, this break down installation is a great place to start. I'm starting your Roadmap to C# development and, so far, you gave me the most optimistic feeling about what I can achieve as a junior developer. Me and people in general can't thank you enough, Tim.

Fun fact, if you just select .NET Core you can still do all the web development stuff, so MVC, Razor Pages, Blazor.
Weird fact: if you select SQL development it installs LocalDB2016 instead of the more recent LocalDB2019

Hi Tim, Love your channel!
This might sound silly, but I've just turned 40 and when I was young - I really LOVED programming (In Pascal, C, and C++)...
I've neglected my passion for programming a long time ago, in favor of learning for a degree, getting a job as a Teacher, and building my Family life.
Still, I always feel that once a programmer - always a programmer.
Unfortunatly, I am not farmiliar with all the current technologies and languages... I'm doing great stuff in VBA, Batch files, Access, Excel, and even SQL,
Is it even possible for me to get current and have a job in Programming? Should I let go of my passion at this age?
I would love to hear your thoughts...

Thank you! I am taking C# in college right now and they did not explain everything in detail the way you did! They only said to DL Visual Studio IDE.

Just want to thank you for all your great videos Tim. As some form of constructive feedback and not on the programming topic, i would suggest your videos audio could benefit from a debreather audio plugin or at least fine tuning your noise gate. I know it's nitpicking, but i guess it's always good to have feedback of any kind. Take care.

Im not sure if Xamarin (apps) still has a bright future, it sounds like too much hassle compared to just making a responsive offline Blazor WASM website and publishing it on Azure. Xamarin is: maintaining multiple versions (Android, IOS), getting approved for the Appstores, time waiting for approval, even for small bugfixes you have to jump through all these hoops every time. And sharing a link to a website is a lot easier than getting the other person to install an app.

What is the difference between .Net Dekstop Development option and .Net Core Cross Platform option? Seems Like, both have same features.
