Did you see the interview with Diego Luna on Andor Season 2 with Rotten Tomatoes? It's here on Youtube. Just listen what he says about Star Wars and how great it is to add things to an already existing universe which is great and beloved, and not change them.

After the decision to turn Boba Fett into the Mandalorian season 2.5 to make Grogu return (which was apparently not the initial plan) and the disappointment of the season 03, I don't expect anything.

I wouldn't say it's unlikely. If the shots are only a few weeks old, they could've given them priority to get a first edit out for D23. Since Star Wars is back to mostly real sets many shots just need a little color grading.

Much as I consider The Mandalorian to be the saving grace of Disney Star Wars, the fact that they are releasing a trailer just weeks after they started filming does raise some red flags. Not because the content is guaranteed to be terrible, I'm still looking forward to the movie. But because it hints of desperation! They want to get the ball rolling *NOW, * they want to get people talking about it *NOW, * because some of the stuff they've recently released up till *NOW* hasn't done well!

They probably have editors on the pay roll and they can get a early trailer out. If they said they just started shooting, then you're probably seeing footage that just came out. For cgi, it's probably the same thing. Some of the cgi was probably just made. But only for specific scenes and it will take longer for some things they haven't showed yet.
