This document is still valid so when you said it "was" the Bill of Rights what you mean is it "is" the Bill of Rights. My favourite part is "Grants of Fines and Forfeitures" completely deems all vehicle seizures under the Road Traffic Act 1988 ILLEGAL! This is gross misconduct on a national scale! And when you find out they are operating under commercial contract law and not common law then BOOM they are all done! GAME OVER!

Great video which helped me understand more. I loved how you delved into greater detail on the origins of the English Bill of Rights, which gave me with more information on the subject.

Thanks for presenting and teaching this . Its so important that Citizens understand where their rights came from .
The Glorious Revolution and the 1689 English Bill of Rights should be given far more recognition .
During their Coronation Oath, William of Orange and Mary II swore to recognize the Sovereignty of Parliament .
So they became Constitutional Monarchs .

These events can be thought of as a power transfer from the King to Parliamentarians, who were wealthy land owners.
At the time only land owners had the vote, but its still the beginning of Democracy in the modern world .
.
Then in the 19th Century there was the Chartest Movement, their 6 points, Gladstone, and the 3 Parliamentary Reform Acts .
.

"Will of the People via their representation in Parliament". Every MP should have this pinned to their foreheads, as they believe they can do as they please, without the consent of their constituents.

After the tyrannical government responses to covid, are we entirely sure we don't want to just give the king back a handful of unusual punishments? Asking for a friend.

Correction: It wasn't the right to bear arms "according to the rule of law" it was a statement of of our common law right to have arms for our defence. Read it carefully. In Northern Ireland this was and is interpreted as the right to have firearms for their defence - including handguns. On the mainland tell the police that so much as a stick is for your defence and you will be prosecute for possession of an offensive weapon. The Bill of Rights is statute law and just like any of our common law rights it can be changed or abolished by another statute.
