I’ve been working on cars for over 20 years and I have always just taken out the 2 fuses from the alarm system and it’s been fine, but today I came across an alarm that only had 1 fuse and it still wouldn’t let the car start. I checked it out and did exactly what you said and it worked like a charm. Thanks big guy you really did me a solid 👍🏼

Must be a common problem as I have seen a Tundra do this and then later a Tacoma and those did it with stock alarm system. As the owners would crank the car, the horn would sound like a starter, fast pulsing horn sound and it wouldn't let them start the vehicle. Always wondered what the problem was.

I have all my car alarms (and car radios) installed by one shop that specializes in this stuff. I have never had an issue with any of their installations and I have been their customer for over twenty years.
