How does the speedrunning community deal with the more recent trend of games having constant patches? For example, what if a patch is released for mario odyssey that somehow prevents the moon skip exploit? Do all previous times on the old patch become obsolete and everyone has to try again with the new patch? Or does one particular patch become the "official" patch for the speedrunning community? Sorry if this is a stupid question...

First video I've ever seen of yours, I finally beat the game yesterday and I'm excited to start running the game myself.

I wanted to take a more solo approach to speedrunning the game, first and foremost going to each and every world and writing down the minimum req. moons, moons on the path to/near boss area. and then grinding and adding stuff to that as I go along.

Yes, I understand that there's already guides covering this, but I want to see how low I can get the time by myself before I attempt to follow along.

But yeah as I mentioned, this is the first video of yours I've ever watched and I love your presentation, speaking voice, and humor. Just subbed and can't wait to see what else is in store!
