I got very curious and attracted to this one guy that I asked him out on a date. As we went on a few dates, we were both really attracted to each other. And it turns out, he was an ENFP (I am INTJ). And while I understand the reasons discussed on this video well and agree to them to some extents, ENFP's emotions, display of affections and spontaneity are too much for me to handle. I was so shocked and preplexed at how he could and why he would display his whole emotions so naturally and easily on his face. And I absolutely cannot fathom why he would go above and beyond just for the sake of making me happy. Neither do I need it nor did I ask for it. Their actions of showing love and care are soo unnecessary, excessive and impractical. Especially their way of handling things with emotions is something I am failing to comprehend. I fully realize that as an INTJ, my weaknesses are that of being overly critical, impatient, too blunt and insensitive towards my partner. But the glaring contrast of our personality feels like nothing but inconvenience to me that I'd rather not invest time and energy to make things work.
Nonetheless, I have my morals and values that I will not disrespect him or his value of human emotions which is why I am here, trying to understand him better but can't help ranting about my self-contradicting analysis on the relationship. 😒
I think ENFPs are more suited to be close friends than intimate partners.
