Nintendo, please bring back Mii Games. (And Wuhu Island.)

PeanutButterGamer goes over (most) of the Mii games (sometimes known as the Wii Series of games) to come out since the launch of the Nintendo Wii! Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Party, then Pilot Wings Resort and Tomodachi Life for the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Land for the Nintendo Wii U, and Miitopia for the 3DS and Nintendo Switch!

Miis have been so underutilized on the Switch. Miitopia single handedly brought second life to the Miis and I wish that game's super elaborate Mii Maker comes to the Switch's successor!

8:55 Pilotwings was originally a SNES game, which I was able to play via the NSO service.
And Tomodachi was originally a DS game, one of the very few DS games that used Miis.

I miss Miis too. If it were up to me, when lockdowns began I would have made a Wuhu Resort bundle game with HD versions of Wii Sports Resort, Pilotwings Resort, and a spiritual successor to Vegas Stakes.

There was plenty to complain about in the Wii/3DS/Wii U era of Nintendo, but I will always appreciate their dedication to Miis as avatars back then. It was so charming. The Switch re-release of Miitopia felt like maybe we were getting some of that back, but then Switch Sports came out and Miis felt like an afterthought inclusion compared to the Sportsmates, so alas...

I absolutely adore Miis. They’re one of the best aspects about Nintendo, right up there with Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong and other Nintendo IPs. I really hope we get more Mii focused games in the near future. We really need a Tomodachi Life sequel and just more new Mii focused games in general (A 3D sand box or open world adventure game similar to Mario Odyssey or Zelda TOTK with full body outfit customization and Miitopia’s wig and make up system would be a really cool idea for a new Mii game).

Kinda surprised peebs didn’t mention the two wuhu island tracks in Mario Kart 7, Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu, both of these courses are some of the strongest tracks in series history in my opinion and it’s such a shame they didn’t return in MK8

Your Tomodachi Life video from way back was the first thing I ever saw from you, it’s crazy to still be here 10 years later. Me and mates revisited the game a couple years ago and had a blast with it and Miitopia is legitimately one of my favourite games, so it’s a real shame how pushed aside the Miis have become. You’d think there’d be more Mii games than ever nowadays with how many people out there that have a nostalgic connection to them.
