penelope and colin are my absolute favourite couple from the bridgerton books and romancing mr bridgerton is by far my favourite. their chemistry is amazing and i cannot wait to see what they do with them in the show. i had to edit them, i just HAD to! i’m sorry if the sound of the season 2 clips isn’t as clear, it was the best i could get with the season just coming out yesterday… but i hope you enjoy :)

I think it was good of Marina Thompson to try and help Penelope by reminding Colin that there were people around him that already loved him and that he should appreciate them rather than reminisce on the past. I'm so happy that at least someone is rooting for them.

I must say, what I loved about Simon and Daphne was how they would always appear formal with each other when they were in the company of others, but in private they always used each others names. It added to the intamcy in my opinion. Anthony and Kate didn't have much of that in s2, prefering to call each other lord and miss. But these two, they don't much care for formalities and how it would look when calling each other by their names in public. Whenever he calls her Pen (the writers were just leaving clues left and right), I just want to scream. It just shows how easy their friednship is that they feel comfortable enough to be so informal. They really did a great job of focusing on the bond between these two this season. I love the loyalty these two continue to have for each other even though Colin can't seem to open his eyes.

He doesn’t see how much she loves him, and he doesn’t realize that deep down he loves her too, simply because they’ve been such good friends for so long that he looks at her as “a dear friend”. I want them together more than any other couple in the show so far, I love their friendship that seems to come so naturally (even though they’re acting), as does their chemistry. Even though Colin doesn’t realize that Pen loves him 😩❤️

He was supposed to be the dashing, caring, affectionate gentlemen in all the three books, and they clearly gave that full justice to him in two seasons. But when I read the Polin book after being defeated by my curiosity, I found Colin of the book totally different. He was capable of becoming angry to the point of no sense, he spoke with sarcasm, he was downright cruel sometimes. Of course, all that came when he was with Pen. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Pen more. But I'm low key happy Pen of this adaptation doesn't look half way pliable or submissive. And she was made into a manipulative friend too. Maybe that just would work better when Colin would try to control her in their book, when he learns of her identity.

When Colin was going to visit Marina I was loosing my mind. Basically all Colin did to me this season is give me a heart attack but it subsides when you think it's about to happen 😂 Good thing Marina is already contented with her life and opened Colin's eyes.

One thing that absolutely kills me is the fact that, several times, Colin seems to be looking at her the same way she looks at him... and then he goes and friend zones her. Having read his and Penelope's book, I know how their story goes, and (spoiler alert) it does have a happy ending. But I saw both seasons before I even started reading the books. And watching it without knowing Colin's mind, the way you get to know it by reading the book, I just... I couldn't understand how he could look at her like that, and turn around and act like there's nothing between them. I don't fully know why I am so addicted to the two of them, but I am, and I will probably read their story again and again until I have the damn thing memorized. I love them so much. ❤❤❤

all of these people in the comments complaining about the quote from the finale and saying how they need to find other people and stuff, literally read the books and you'll know why people ship them, it's not rocket science. the whole show is based on the ships from the books. I swear some of you guys have never heard of development, not every relationship is love at first sight and it doesn't mean that it's any less beautiful than the ones that are, grow up please.
