The ruling of slavery in Islam is they eat what you eat, they wear what you wear and you must provide them shelters, treat them as your brother and sister, cant overwork them, provide health care and if you hit them you have to pay them with a substantial amount of money and immediately free them. In that time there's some people slap or hit their slave then the judge force them to sell their armor and belonging just to pay the slave their rightfull money before they set the slave free.
Lets say in a city have 10thousand families and 6thousand families have at least 1-2 slave. If you free all the slave at once there would be around 8-9thousand slave suddenly got free. And then what? Where would they go? Lucky for some who have families to return to, if not, certainly they would become homeless and live in the street as beggars. Do you want your city to suddenly flooded with homeless and beggars? Surely a lot of them would result to crime out of desperation to live. Do you want that?
That is why in Islam if you want to free a slave it is mandatory for you to give them a substantial amount of money so they can afford to start a new life or return to where they came from. If you cant afford it then it is better just keep them for it is better for them. Having good shelter, good clothing, good food and good health care for some work is way better than living on the street.

Slavery is not an issue, mistreating slave is the problem. But again, mistreating everything is bad, mistreating animal is bad, mistreating employee is bad, mistreating nature is bad etc

In Islam Muslims are forbidden from enslaving a free man. Slaves were taken from the battlefield. The vanquished left their families and property at the site of the battle. Women and children were not left to fend for themselves or become victim to the unscrupulous. They were taken in in servitude with a path to freedom.

Slavery is very much an issue in Islam. The
time came when Islam was
Strong and established skavery was eradicated
Forthwith.
But the owners were also given time
to eradicate it gradually.
Slaves were regarded as property, ans investment before Islam, and ISLAM
protects private property .
The owners had to free their
slaves voluntarily by being
made a virtuos act. Some had to be compensated, provision
for that being made in the
payment of Zakah, the
obligatory Islamic Charity .
If the owner insisted on keeping a slave, he or she
must be kept just as any other member of the family, without being overworked or being humiliated and
made to perform menial
or overly heavy tasks without the
help of the master.
The Upkeep, feeding clothing, place of sleep,
health issues, etc. must be the same as of any other member of the household.
And when the time was suitable for marriage a suitable mate had to
be found.
The salve must be
educated and when
found worthy amd good conduct must be freed and
provided with the finance to start a trade or service for
sustenance. These are some of the reasons why
slaves were not immediately
released even though
it had been recommended
by the QUR'AN.
But keeping them in
the manner required was
made much more difficult than freeing them.
Many pious Muslims
would buy slaves Arrom the markets, many
of them non Muslims
with the intention of educating them in the ISLAMIC tradition, and
After training them in a trade or service, coveting them
and later freeing them
with adequate financial provision to sustain their
future life in freedom.


Moreover ALLWAAH
(SLW) has elevated and hinoured mankind
far above other creation,
and thus in ISLAM it
was then no longer made
permissible to enslave any
person who was born free .
And only those captured in unlawful war against the
state were thus bonded but
treated h8manly, givrn the chance to educate, train
Muslims to earn their freedom. Or the chsnce to work and pay their master part of the wages to gain their freedom . A Muslim could also volunteer to pay for their release. This was
far more human than the
treatment of prisoner of wars by other Rulers,
even a long time after the
Islamic ruling, when even in
Christianity all the
captured population was put to
the Sword, their villages
and all in them were razed to the ground and
only the young maidens
were spared to a life
of slavery.

Possible counter argument:

Muslims are very charitable people, in fact, it is an obligation to give to the needy.(zakat) Muslims will even let homeless people stay in their homes. Not to meantion Allah will punish you if you separate a slave from their families. Plus, people who owned slaves were not usually poor people as they can't afford to feed their family plus some slaves. So they were perfectly capable of freeing a large amount of slaves.

And it is not guaranteed that slavery will eventually end under these conditions. Theoretically, if a non muslim civilization is a vendor of slaves, Muslims could basically have slaves on tap as in Islam, purchase of a slave is permissible. Historically, trade relations between non muslim places and caliphates was built on top of a strong flow of slaves into the muslim society. In fact, slaves was taken from villages as a tax by the muslims.

Also Islam Encourages the freeing of slaves. Furthermore Slaves america are different from ones in the middle east. America took Africans who had nothing to do with them. Slaves in the middle east were prisoners of war. People who after their husbands and fathers died in wars against islam, had no where to go, to protect them, to feed them, to clothe them. So Muslims gave them food, clothing and shelter in rrturn for work.

If you analyze the holy Qur'an, you'll realize that slavery was being dried out through the rulings sent by the holy Qur'an. For example, if you break your fast during Ramadan, the first option to repent is to free a slave. Also, if you check the rules about how to treat the slaves back then under the Shari'a, you'll figure out that it was a form or employment. The slave can request to be freed by his master if they both agree on the terms and conditions of this process. Also, you can't beat a slave, you can't make them work more than their capacity, you have to feed them with the same food of the home, you have to help them if they need help, all humam beings are equal الناس سواسية كاسنان المشط... So this is pretty close to the employment of the recent times.

Also, it becomes financial not profitable to have slaves since they are equal to their masters... It's better to free them... 😂😂😂

So why didn't God enforce rules and a system to make sure slavery was abolished within a 100 year? Slavery has been happening for over a 1000 years since islam began and still is in Mauritania. It just shows that your God was incompetant and not all moral and powerful. In islam, you can be a slave owner and still go to paradise, that messed up. Children of slaves are also considered to be born into slavery accordingto islam. No justification

I remember in a novel, this prince went and force abolish slavery in a night, he was a good leader but the outcome was terrifying..the country slaves owners were excellent owners, treat the slaves well. But the prince action caused the slaves to fight the prince back and they fought to protect their owners. Almost killed the whole party and they had to run out of the city thay exact night..

In a world full of processes and procedures, i cant think why anyone think Islam is weak or unjust by doing things according to the situation and suitability..dont forget, the ones beside Rasullullah are not simple men and women, they are business men, some are the richest in the region, some are warriors and politicians, historians.. Rasullullah himself is a well known trader nicknamed Al Amin. They know what they are doing.
