TikTok's Chief Executive Shou Zi Chew has faced a grilling by the US Congressional Committee due to concerns over the security of the app.

Mr Chew's testimony on Thursday comes as countries across the globe move to ban the social media app on government devices.

The app has been accused of being instrumental in collecting data for the CPP.

Mr Chew told Congress the company has been unfairly singled out.

1980 - Toshiba / japan
2013 - Alstom / france
2020 - Huawei / china
Today - TikTok / china
Any company growing stronger that surpassed US would be labeled as “threat” and would be banned..😅

He tried hard to pretend he was trying to conform to demands. He wouldn't answer siimple questions instead, taking a circuitous route to avoid it.

Uh, how does TikTok have a CEO? Wouldn't they have a Director, or possibly Xi Jinping would just directly pull the strings himself?
