Let me know what you think. Which are your favorites? Also the pads I’ve mentioned here are from reputable brands. Of course the worse ones are the knockoffs polishing pads you buy on Amazon.

Reputable brands: DIY Detail, Lake Country, Buff and Shine, Maxshine, Griots Garage, Oberk, Shinemate, Scholls, Chemical Guys, P&S, Gyeon, Mckees 37, Carpro, 3D

I really enjoy the buff and shine pads! The UroFiber Maroon Pad and Blueberry Pads are my go to. Buff and shine are known for the durability in the Velcro world for the hook and loop. Fantastic video!!! Very detailed.

This is a video any detailer should watch if they are starting a business or as a DIYer. I Love this video a lot! I watched it all the way through. For me I have chemical guys Hexlogic. Some griots and lake country. I don’t polish often. Maybe twice a year. I really enjoyed this in depth review and knowledge of the pads you’ve collected and used over time . Thank you for your expertise

I don't have much experience polishing so for me I really found this helpful and I greatly appreciate it! I think a lot of what I'd be going for fall in your favorites as well
Looking for quality, versatility and compatibility

For aggressive cutting the Rupes Coarse Wool pads are terrific. They are superior to cutting with hard foam pads. The DIY Detail Gold Waffle pad is good on soft or medium clears. The Rupes yellow foam is anther long time favorite for polishing. The DIY system is user friendly for people working on their own cars that don’t need to do a lot of heavy paint correction.

Excellent. It would be great if you could do a video where you get all your favorites and decide which ones to use based on the car you're working on. A series (1, 2, 3...) of videos like that would be excellent. 😊 thanks for sharing

I use the 50/50 euro pad and the Green polishing pad CCS non SDO. It really cleans the dirt out of the paint. And leaves a nice finish. I also like the Diy pads.

Brilliant insight into polishing pads, so honest and knowledgeable, I’m surprised of no mention of lake country; good or bad ) what pad would you suggest for a one step on lightly swirled Audi paint, thanks for your time and effort!

Eddie you should round up all the supplies that you no longer use and do a video on the whole package. Then do a contest for a new guy to get his or her business started

Yo bro, new here. I’m working on a black Chevy Silverado, 6 months old. I’m told they’re finicky and have medium clear coat hardness. Nothing but swirls and scratches. I tried Optimum White pad with their Hyper Polish. Didn’t do much. Then tried LC Orange pad with TW 1 and done compound. Nothing great. So then I tried the Euro pad with TW 1&Done, which gave me the most correction. So I did the whole truck with it. Then I used TW 1&Done with LC Black Pad over whole truck. Looked good until I got it into the sun. Swirles are gone, but not it has a trillion short scratches everywhere! I guess they’re “tick marks”? I’m disappointed in the scratch removal and not the added mini scratches. Optimum Black waffle pad with Hyper Polish seemed to help a little on the on test section I did before calling it quits for the night. I’m lost. What should I try next? Frustrating after already going around truck twice before realizing this! God Bless!

Edit: I’m using a G9 polisher at speed 1 to spread and 3-4 to work.

Wow!!! Exactly what I needed. I'm in a frenzy of what pads I truly need. What do you suggest? I'm new to polishing. I want to get the Gold Standard. Should I stick with their system? Or get the GS and use other pads or other polishes? Thank you again. I'm working on my Lexus RX it's a daily and 2021 btw

I have come to settle on lake country purple wool for rotary, lake country css foam for rotary and DA, also Shinemate microfiber cutting for DA and shinemate diamond face foam pads for both Rotary and DA. 3D spider cut foam aren't bad they just dont last as long as far as durability

You're out here doing the lord's work. Thank you for making this video. I've been practicing on a test panel at home and I'm a weekend warrior on my own cars. I already learned what you said about the hard foam. Just go with the 50/50 or microfiber type wool pads instead. Question: Am I able to mix one drop of compound with a AIO on the same pad at the same time or is that a waste?
