RV AC MicroAir Easy Start How To Install.

Показать описание
Today we are sharing how to install the MicroAir Easy Start on the RV AC. It is a device that drastically reduces the surge of power needed to start the Air Conditioning unit. It makes it possible to start it on a smaller generator or have two 13,500 ac units run on a 30 amp service or make it easier on your Solar Inverter setup when off grid. I hope this helps walk you through setting it up.

Thanks for this. I just installed the microair today and ran it 5 times before using it on my genmax gm3200i. This thing made such a difference. I have a 13.5k btu AC and it pulled peak 11amps and ran around 1080-1110 watts. I can now run my AC and still have nearly 2000 watts of power left

Thanks, your video was exactly what I needed to ensure I did not screw it up. Got mine installed last night. 🙂One note for others with the same unit (Furrion) that was not obvious to me at first, is the splicing of the last blue wire. Once that is done, reconnect it to the other blue and put it back where it was. That connection can also be loose so be careful when putting things back in the box. It's a tight fit. I spent far more time taking things apart and putting them back than the actual wire installation part. That was the only challenging part.

Thank you so much for this video! I didn't realize I had the wrong wiring diagram until after I opened up the ac cover. Felt hopeless til I found your video! Thanks much for the great info as always.

Did the Micro-Air install this weekend. Jared's walk-through was extremely helpful. Really, it wasn't that complicated and the installation kit for my 15K Coleman Mach had everything needed. Worst part was getting up on the roof! My Honda EU2200i now easily starts the A/C (ECO off) and keeps it running (ECO on). I've had the A/C, a few lights and the TV on at the same time without any issues. Saved the cost of paralleling with another EU2200i!

This is one of the better install videos. I like the way it shows the wires on the compressor and OL.

Thank you for putting a Soft Start on a Furrion A/C!! We are debating installing one. New Furrion A/C as well.

I installed one a year ago & wow, was I impressed. Won’t have an rv without one. Perfect for boondocking/dry camping.

Great explanation! Being an electrical engineer and electrician myself, I feel an everyday RV owner can install this with little or no trouble at all.

We added this to our RV last fall. It works great and our 2000 watt Honda generator will now run the AC when boondocking. Really nice addition.

An upgrade on my bucket list to help our generator that "just" has enough power to fire up the AC. Great video Jared.

I took my iPad up on the roof of my Airstream Sport-22FB and with your help installed my EasyStart. It works great! Thank you very much. We enjoy your YouTube channel. Regards, Tom Moquin

Great video Jared, thanks very much. I have an earlier version AC unit but everything was pretty much the same. I used the wagos that came with the install kit and taped the little levers closed with electrical tape. I have yet to do the 5 cycles as I only have a 3500 watt genny and no pedestal power. I called support and they said that the first learning cycle runs at 40% and then subsequent runs get more optimized at 60% and higher, and that if you do the first cycle on anything less than a 4K Genny it will not be programmed optimally. Oh and the really annoying thing was that every time my AC compressor kicked on before the install, the surge would reboot my starlink router lol. Was driving me nuts! Thanks again!!

I installed the micro aire last spring on my camper and love it. We do a lot of NJ state parks (no hook ups) and boondocking. I run my 15, 000btu ac unit off of my Honda 2200 generator. Easy install and worth every penny.
Great video. Happy Camping.

I pick up my 2022 GD 2600RB monday and this soft starter is the first thing I'm putting on the unit when I get it home haha! I just printed out the schematic and made one off their instructions from another model, and then went... i bet there's a video. Yep. your diagram matches mine lol!

For me living in California, only hot places I would be staying at would have full hookups like Laughlin Nevada Koa at the Avi Casino. I’d never boondock in a desert. Most camping boondock spots for me is in the mountains or beach and in the summer they always cool down at night.

I installed one of the Micro-Air on my 15K AC. Went from 46 AMP start to 19 Amps after the five training start. I have an older 3500 Honda generator running on propane. Before I installed the micro-air the Honda would really grunt getting the AC started. Now with the micro-air installed I always have to go and look at my amp meter to be able to tell if the compressor has kicked in or not, no more "GRUNT".

The Microair was the first upgrade we made to our trailer 2 years ago, 30 amp service. I can run my A/C while pluged into my house or on my 3500 inverter generator.
