Republican lawmakers in overwhelming numbers are maintaining their support for Donald Trump after his felony convictions, including Speaker Mike Johnson who called on the Supreme Court to step in and Rep. Jim Jordan who demanded that Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg testify before the Weaponization Committee. Fmr. Sen. Doug Jones and Fmr. Rep. Joe Walsh join Ali Velshi to discuss the reaction among Republicans and what it reveals about the state of the GOP. “There is no line, there's nothing Donald Trump can do to peel most Republican voters off of him,” Walsh says.

Every time Johnson tries to cram his religious right Hippocracy it makes me lose faith in the local Christian community … the fight for our democracy has reached another level, join the blue wave, it will be huge in November

Vote them out Jim Jordan is up for reelection, win back the house expand the Senate and vote Joe Biden into a second term. Then continue to hold Trump and his MAGA Republicans accountable. Not to forget to impeach the corrupt Supreme Court Justices and replace them.

Shame and disgrace falls on the GOP, not the DOJ who have performed admirably in the face of threat of violence. Thank you to Judge Merchan who laid down the law and the jury who upheld it. Pray for their safety now and after the sentencing in July.🙏 Vote BLUE from top to bottom. Vote out the cretins from Congress and the Senate.

If these were "charges that should never have been brought in the first place" then why, as lawmakers, did they not long ago annul the laws which Tr*mp's criminal activity required the breaking of?
The GoP completes its utter debasement.

How dare the republicans in leadership call a grand jury and a jury of trump's peers be called illegitimate!!

He'll keep running his mouth, threatening people, and digging a deeper hole. We can only hope it's all considered at sentencing and he's punished for behaving like he's untouchable. HE won't stop if he's not punished.

Good point, what I said before anyone on the program. There is no line the red team won't cross. Thanks 💙

How perverse that lawmakers have no respect for the law and the legal system. They should resign!

So, the justice system is doing its thing again, slowly but surely. No matter what the jury decides, that's it. If Trump wants to appeal, he can, just like anyone else. Remember, he's just a flawed human like the rest of us. Let's use our right to vote and make a smart choice. Hey, most of us didn't want to overthrow our democracy, right? That's the only difference. Vote Democrat, vote blue and let's just chill and watch the justice system do its thing for Trump.

Someone in Congress should start a new bill that is very detailed to stop a convict as President
