A better thing to say would be to lock the position of the motors so you still get the handheld look while maintaining the grip and functionality

yes but some of us do not even have a camera with IBIS and a smaller gimbal with smaller setup is better in that case. I would rather use sports mode or FPV mode for some handheld looking motion.

Funny, I bought Ronin2, stood in line for it, had to be the first, then I literally did not use it. Sat in the trunk of my car for the longest time while i shifted my way through my direction in life. Now I'm returning after another break to catch up on tech and reassess my lineup of equipment yadda yadda and this is the first video I've looked at regarding Ronin since 2020, here in 2024 and no surprise, the perspective is, I think i summed it up anyway, "its a tool, not a rule", though, is it serving you? How so? How can it add drama, accentuate a point, move fluidly, maybe back and forth between vibes in bringing the overall shoot to completion. What a great time to tell a story. All the outcomes I could only imagine before, can now be constructed and the tools needed can fit on my passenger seat. Processes that required cranes and 12 man teams can be done alone or easily with a drone and just 1 assistant.
