Thx for the video, A mechanical engineers (My) take on detroits, and other diesels from the 80s. Just when production diesel design reached its epitome, that is mechanical simplicity and reliability, the federal government gets involved, levies all of these emission requirements on manufacturers, which caused them to introduce heavy conputerized control, thereby reducing reliability, overly complicating systens, driving cost up and reliability down. Our federal govt at work... And for the naysayers, diesel exhaust is way cleaner that gasoline engine exhaust period.

There is a place here in Pennsylvania that does a lot of 2stoke detroit...
I was at there shop couple years back and they where putting a 6v53 twin turbo in a 2009 f350 and they where using ddec i think 4 to control the engine.
