Always watch this and other "Driving Home For Christmas" videos this time of year although we never get snow this time of year in the south of the UK. Managed to track this down as Somerville, MA after looking for the "Bostonian Convenience" store on Google Earth. My favourite Christmas song that never ages and I never tire of hearing. Love it.

Christmas is seen as happy time full of happiness and delight for each and everyone but in truth that's not the case for some people who are lonely and who have lost a friend or beloved partner recently or a few years ago so I wish everybody a nice and peaceful Christmas and my thoughts are to those who are lonely and going through grief and loss.

This song brings back memories of travelling home up North for Christmas with my family, I lived in London in the 80s and always looked forward to spending time with them, travelling up the motorway in a coach this was played a lot back in the day, & now when I hear it I feel emotional as my parents are not with us anymore, brings back memories of Christmas past.

Reminds me of days gone by and Christmases past..

Seems to me that we are ‘all the same’ in so far as we all wish to get our ‘feet back on holy ground’. It’s that feeling of security, acceptance and warmth and hopefully we can return those feelings to others, too. Beautiful sentiments written by a humble soul who has suffered much.
