Welcome to the official Christy Carlson Romano YouTube channel! Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens as Ren Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf. Christy enjoyed many years with Disney gaining an Emmy nomination for her voice work as Kim Possible and starring on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She went on to balance her college career at Barnard College, Columbia University with filming movies for ABC Family including: ‘Campus Confidential’, ‘Taking Five’, ‘The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold’, and ‘The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream’. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to be a puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning ‘Avenue Q’. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate’s “Christmas All Over Again”. Raven had a CHOKEHOLD on Disney in the early 2000s...That's So Raven, Kim Possible, The Cheetah Girls, Zenon, Princess Diaries 2, College Road Trip, the Tinker Bell movies, and I'm so glad she did! She and her characters have felt so many people seen in media, and as an insecure plus size girl watching her as a child, she made me feel more confident in myself.

I agree about Raven. She should totally have had a better music career. I feel like she wasn't the "cookie cutter" image Hollywood was looking for at the time. I absolutely loved her voice. She had so much power and range! She sounded like an adult at 14.

That’s So Raven was a show I was definitely making appointments in my head to be present for, 7:30pm every Friday new episode right before a DCOM ☺️. Every Friday, it was on my mind. Happy memory of my childhood life. She is so talented, so funny, so multidimensional. Over the years we’ve seen her struggle with things like coming out, mental health, the Cosby drama, her weight, being a child star etc. I could tell all those things were her heavy burdens. She’s such a bright star, and a genuinely nice person and made it out. She is a stable and a good example for those of us trying to shine in our truth.

To me Raven-Symoné is the most iconic figure within the Disney Channel. She has that IT factor 100%, literally everything she ever did there was always super successful and so, so good. I even love her character in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Also, I still listen to her songs to this day, amazing voice. This Is My Time is such a great song. Raven really is the GOAT. I went to one of the live audience tapings for “Raven’s Home” in Dec. 2019 and the cast was so kind, funny and professional. At the end of the show they took a bow in front of us and they came down to give us high-fives and shake our hands and I shook Raven‘s hand and she was so sweet and she just looked at us like she really appreciated that we were there and that we were fans and she just took the time to look at you in the eyes and make you feel important. And not to sound weird or anything but her skin was so soft and she smelled good! 😂 I’ve always loved Raven since I was a kid watching her on That’s So Raven, the Cheetah Girls and Kim Possible, so it was a big deal for me to meet her even if it was just a couple seconds of interaction.
I also really like how Christy is so kind and acknowledges all these admirable traits in the people she knows.

Raven tbh gave up on music because no one was buying her music. She even said it on 106 and Park back in the day. I LOVED her song "Backflip". Back when Disney didn't mind having semi-mature content on their channel.
