Hey Alex, I have a video suggestion (thanks to this yt short), what do you think about making a video dedicated to types of pull-ups with a breakdown of grip types and its width and what muscles it biases? I mean, for example, dividing it like this:
Chinup: narrow, medium, wide, super wide
and the same for Pullup: narrow, medium, wide, super wide
Maybe you can say something more about the arch body or hollow body style and how these body positions (and grips) affect which muscles are more activated and which are less

There are not that many videos on YouTube about it, in the form of a compendium of knowledge in one video, and if there are, they may be outdated because our knowledge has changed

Doing these on rings/suspension straps would reduce the stress on the joints and make the movement perfect for long term gains. These are superior to narrow chins for arm development imo, even though I incorporate both into my routine since my biceps are lacking.

Oh, i did 10 down chin-ups this morning. 55 reps total. Next workout i am doing 40 down push-ups 40, 35, etc.

Bro those fucking rear delts are stunning. I am gonna try those wide grip chin-ups and reverse grip inclined-bench press.

Why isn't close grip chin up superior to this? doesn't it mimic more of a curl than a wider grip?

On the topic of calisthenics, Is calisthenics along with light dumbbells and bands enough to replace the gym for a beginner/novice lifters?

Alex Do You believe The Pull Up/Chin Up needs Multiple varations Compared to Benching for example due to benching being more stressful on joints currently i only do 3-4 varations for chin up/ pull up / Neutral Up and wide grip shld i add more like chains?

I made 90% of my bicep gains with just chin-ups and pull-ups

I think you should look into Dr. Sara Pugh she talks about the physics and quantum mechanics on what humans should and shouldn't eat for optimal health long term. Also, just because someone's reason seems like an "excuse" doesn't mean they are wrong. it just means you don't understand, or they didn't explain it right or didn't go in depth enough.

Tbh I feel my biceps more and get a bigger pump (not saying chasing a pump matters) from chin ups than traditional curls and not even necessarily wide or shoulder width but close chin ups a little further than shoulder right outside the close neutral bars. Rethinking things maybe the problem with chin ups is just that with the back/forearms involved you can’t fail from the biceps. I wonder who would have better biceps between someone who only did chin up variations vs someone who only did non lengthened curls
