John, thank you for the high quality audio porn. You and that guy at Headfi are absolutely awesome. It's inspiring to know that you created these platforms like CANJam and Darko audio from nothing but sheer inspiration and passion. You're providing a lot of publicity for what could be a niche industry and giving entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their products alongside big manufacturers like Sony and Focal. I'm not really a headphone guy but I feel excited to see the passion that people like Zack at ZMF exude when they talk about their products. Thanks for allowing us to see that.

A couple of years ago I've auditioned the Sony MDR Z1R headphones driven by the NW-WM1Z player and TA-ZH1ES headphone amp. All in all just over £6000. By far the best sound I've ever experienced with any type of music from jazz to rock, house to hip hop. And I don't even like headphones. Can only imagine what this new DMP-Z1 brings. But unfortunately, as always, Japanese are crap at marketing. Sending a guy there who barely speaks English isn't doing them any favours. I'm sure 30 years from now people will scour the internet to find a used one at crazy high prices, but isn't that history repeating itself...
The Mytek Brooklyn Bridge sure looks interesting, complete preamp with streaming, dac, phono stage and headphone amp. All you need is a good power amp and speakers and you are all set. I need to audition it!

You’d think that turntable would have been shown with a “flat” not warped record!!! Any thing in burrwood and a heavy wooden box is going to be expensive - those ZMF look beautiful would love to try them.John, another fabulous peep into the world of expensive hi-if. When you kept having the video switch from Zach to the Eikons close- up it seemed like Zach was wearing rings and nail polish - nothing wrong with that just had to do a double take there


Btw those Burl Wood Eikons are making me want to sell my Rusted Zebra Eikons... they are utterly gorgeous!
