Being in the “friend zone” means that there’s an emotional mismatch between two people. One of them sees the other as a friend, but the other wants to be more. Have you ever fallen victim to the friendzone? Do you find yourself being friendzoned a lot by the guys/girls you like? There are a lot of reasons why you might find yourself stuck in the friend zone on more than one occasion — and it’s not because you’re “too nice” or “too friendly” for your own good. Are you wondering what mistakes you might be making to end up in this situation so often? Are you at a loss about where to go from here? Watch this video to find out why!

"You waited too long to make a move"

Me, who only becomes interested in people after having known them for a while: "Aight, so I'm doomed"

Being told, "I wish I could date a guy like you" when you're already a guy like you kinda sticks with you for a while.

The “friend zone” happens when two people are friends, and one person wants more while the other doesn't. This can naturally lead to disappointment or frustration on both sides, and the mismatch of feelings occurs for people of all genders and orientations.

9. They stereotype you. You act in a certain way too much (say, play the comedian) and they begin to see you as that character and nothing more. They then dismiss your attempts to correct their distorted perception. 🥲

"2. you waited too long to make a move"

But isn't it actually smart and important to wait to see if you are compatible with that person before making a move and risking destroying a nice friendship? The guy (let's be honest, it's usually a guy in this situation) is doing absolutely nothing wrong by waiting. I think this needs to be normalized, looking at all the new failed relationships and single parents out there right now in "civilized society". Something went horribly wrong in our development for this to be something wrong.

lived in the "no-friends zone" all my life more like "the strangers" zone, because of 2 major things.
1- constant rejection, all the time none stop.
2- fear of rejection + i simply gave up. they must have others waiting to be with them anyway, so i simply quit. and i do not regret it.

I stopped using the word “friend zone”
I call it missed opportunity that leads to a new one. Then again it always better to maintain a great friendship that may or may not lead into something more

Normalize falling in love with your best friend (if the chemistry and tension is there)

actions speak louder than words, so trust actions and not words.

I've only had 1 girlfriend and she only used me to get closer to my friend, and that's my story of depression

Oh boy the "you're like a brother to me" is one I've gotten. Combined with the bit about helping them get with someone else. One of my biggest crushes, and I was the one both people went to when the guy confessed to her. I ended up helping them get together, and in the end, she told me "thanks big bro" and I swear I felt a bit of me just shrivel up inside

Best way to get out of the friend zone. Stop being their friend

I got rejected once before cuz the girl said she wasn't looking for a relationship only for her to get with a close friend of mine the very next day.

I think back on all my rejections a lot, it truly makes me wonder if there's something wrong with me. Getting rejected almost your whole life really sucks.. I've only ever had 1 girl actually accept me and now she just kinda left. Makes you wonder what's wrong with you all the time.

Bruh I just realised a possible reason why Psych2Go started posting so many relationship related videos recently. They probably found that these types of videos perform better, probably because they're very relatable.
Man we're all lonely people who want to be close to other people but fail most of the time aren't we
