Показать описание
🍜 You can visit Sokol’s restaurant BOM in Belgrade at Karađorđeva 61.
Meet Sokol. He is Japanese and first came to Serbia—then Yugoslavia—in 2001 as a student. Here, he learned the Serbian language and developed a strong connection to Serbian culture. Three years ago, he moved to Serbia with his Korean wife, and together they opened a Japanese-Korean restaurant in the center of Belgrade. He shared what connects Serbs and Japanese, what it’s like to be an Asian among Serbs, and why he still feels nostalgic for Yugoslavia. The interview is in Serbian, with a bit of English—please excuse any possible mistakes. Enjoy!
