22:44 a little trick I learned from Tekken 5: When you hit the wall with that move, you can Indian Stance while being dazed (down + 3+ 4) which makes you disappear quickly after being stunned in a cloud of smoke and you reappear in the indian stance. Ruins most of your opponent's punishes they thought they would get.

Good guide. I had to stop playing Smash Brothers because they still haven't added Yoshimitsu

Please include your button inputs in future videos, they're very helpful to learn timings and combo memorization is stronger visually than auditory for many of us including me. And also thank you! I learned a ton overall.

I like about Yoshimitsu that you can make mistakes in the execution of 10 combos and still be able to continue them. Just different. It is not necessarily canceled.

Awesome guide, Underdawg. I've been playing Yoshimitsu since my father let me play Tekken 5 with him in 2005 (I was 4).

He was my favorite fighting game character for the longest time, but since he's a side character, I had to drop his top spot for Kuai Liang once I started getting into Mortal Kombat.

To be honest I kind of prefer long guides because I feel if it's that long then you covered everything about the character we need to know. Idk if you like making them and I don't blame you but that's just my two cents

Yes finally someone else other than me who loves yoshimitsu

I think 2, down 3 is a really good 10f punish because the full crouch mixup it leaves you in is so good for Yoshimitsu.

Lovely. Your charisma makes it even easier to go through

There's something you forgot to mention about the Rage Art. The lower your health when your Rage Art hits, the more damage it does. This is true for raw Rage Arts as well as ending combos with it. Just a heads up.

i personally DON'T recommend 2, 2 as a punish, since a ducking enemy can launch you as a punish.
but i'm with ya 100% Yoshi is best waifu <3

After a db+3, 3...I go d+3+4/Indian stance or do a b+1, 1.. to db+3, 3 then Indian stance or to a db+1+2, 1+2 if they are anticipating the ws+4 - this is unsafe if my opponent catches wind what I am doing so I use it sparingly just to mix things up. From the Indian stance, you can do a couple of things to keep the guessing game going. Just be mindful of your spacing.
With b+2, 2, I mix it up with b+2 then 1+2, b+1+2 which is unblockable. There's a short windup with the animation but most of the time it catches them just don't over do it as they can duck under it or just step out of the range of the unblockable.

At 20:10 you can buffer in the 1+2 while completing back 2-1

one thing you should mention on b+2, 1 is that it's a mixup against b+2, 2 because you can duck under the second hit. once you condition them to duck the second hit, you mix up with b+2, 1 because it's a mid and get crazy damage.

edit: note that you can only duck under the second hit of b+2, 2 if you block the first hit.
