Travel pace is a personal preference that may be hard to determine when you first begin RVing. Should you shoot from location to location every three days in an attempt to see it all in as short of time as possible? Or maybe move every two weeks to allow for leisure time at each site. Or, for the slowest of RVers, moving only each month or longer to take advantage of monthly RV park rates and minimize the stresses of travel.

Our RV travels began with the first pace, moving every 3-5 days. However, we quickly became burnt out with the constant stress of finding a new campsite, setting up and tearing down the RV, and many hours of highway hypnosis. We've settled on moving every two weeks since it reduces travel stress but isn't so slow that we get bored at our sites.

Every RVer has a different preferred travel pace, but which is best for you? Check out the video to see!

You seem to understand just how informative and detailed these videos are and how they are so helpful to we soon-to-be-RVers! Yep, not only did we learn a lot, but watching is educational (boring? nope) and riveting. Thanks, you are talented people.

10 years ago the wife and I took one year off and hit the road, with a 6 Wheel Drive Super C and camping gear. Most of the time we moved every 5 to 6 days and it worked out well for us. We stayed in a campground on Monday and Tuesday or Tues/Weds night. If we arrived Tuesday night (we always had a full hook up) we dumped and flushed our tanks (75 gallon black and grey tanks - 150 gal combined), filled up with water (150 gallon tank), then hooked up to campground water so we had 2 long showers each - one each day, made sure our 8 lithium batteries were fully charged which gave us 640 amp hours of use (had 1600 watts of solar on the roof). The next day we did laundry and went grocery shopping (we toad a vehicle) for a week's supply. The next morning we left no later than 8am, filled up with propane and fuel, drove to our next boondocking location and got set up for another 5 to 6 days. We always stayed at a campground Mon, Tues or Weds night so we could find our new boondocking location mid week before places got packed with weekenders.

I thought I would comment since we are in the Sedona area. We have been watching your channel since you guys started, but we have never commented. We have loved your videos. They have had an impact on our decision to start full-timing and deciding on what things we needed to have in our RV. I think your solar videos have been the most helpful. I think I watched your solar series 3 or 4 times... We bought a 2000 watt GoPower inverter/charger based on your recommendation of that brand. It has been working great so far. We went with 1000 watts for our panels to reduce the need to tilt based on your more recent videos on solar. I have not had to tilt yet! We just started full-timing in January 2020, but I feel we are ahead of the curve on a lot of things thanks to your informative videos. We attempted to go to one of your site reviews, Cow Creek Road near Lake Pleasant area maybe 8 or 9 days ago. It had been raining and the roads were really bad. We managed to get all the way up to your coordinates but it was just to muddy to stay. If you did not have a 4x4 you were not getting in or out of there. It was very beautiful up there though. I wish I had taken a few pictures to show you how bad the roads were. I just wanted to get out of there before we got stuck... Thanks for all the great content over the years. It has been very helpful in getting us started on our journey.

What a nice video. Especially the intro and ending along with the way your dog Sweetie is so kick back and showing how much she loves her mom and dad. Continue what your doing, enjoy your life’s, stay healthy and be safe!!🙂

suggestion/idea for a video: what about sharing what you buy for a 2 week stay in a site? your grocery list and a list of the meals you prepare with that? Kinda of your menu for breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 2 weeks, unless you go grocery shopping several times during those two weeks. I am curious whether it could be done, to not move at all for 2 weeks. :)

Love your videos. This has again reaffirmed my decision to go with a E350 with a 14 box and tow a jeep. I always appreciate the effort the both of You put into your videos. Always a thumbs up 👍

I think I would toss a tent and a few chairs out then go grab the trailer just to hold it for a few.

Guys, get an awning to set up when you drive back to check things out. Leave a lawn chair and a side table. You will look like you went to get groceries or something. Something easy to set up. Nothing expensive. We have to do this in Illinois some times in some smaller parks If we have to leave for a while. like to get help or something. Have a great time out there.

I have friends who are the slowest type of RV'ers... they are "snowbirds" who take their fifth wheel south for six months and park in an RV park near Yuma/Winterhaven, and when it gets too warm for them, they head north to their home base the other six months out of the year. They're older so they're definitely not into hiking or climbing things - they just like to park and chill and hang out with other seniors.

Yeah I want to stay longer. Nothing as short as a week. Great vlog stay safe. Lol the pup is loving mum. Big eyes for mum.

Use a small popup tent that folds compactly with maybe a chair or two. It will have that lived in look.

I’d probably want to travel at your pace and go somewhere new every two weeks or so. That seems like a happy 😊 medium.

I'm with you guys. I'd stay somewhere 2 weeks, or longer if I could. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

We travels around the US last summer and yes we moved every 3-5 days and we really burned out quickly, 7-14 days is optimal, we stayed in South Padre Island for a month and really did enjoy the long term visit.

My 24 foot travel trailer had a big level on the front and a small level on the side close to the front. I could back in, level it, set it up in about 15 minutes.
I can back most of the way in and throw down a quick wooden ramp on the low side and back in watching the level on the front till it centered and then stop throw down some chalks and disconnect the truck and level it front to back, throw a couple quick Jacks under the back corners, take the TV off the bed, unlock the refrigerator, throw up the antenna, pull out the awning, and was done in about 15 minutes.
I boondock alot. 😀

I also leave the truck plugged into the trailer during the night for added battery power to run fans, lights, TV, etc.
And I did that by myself.
