Day two of Hot Rod Drag Week was an interesting on! Ned Dunphy's SMX Dodge Viper ran another good number at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Bryant Goldstone is still leading, with Steve Spiess and Alex Taylor (from Hot Rod Garage) trying to chase him down, Dave Schroeder is out, as is David Armentrout. Alan Whitaker's Monte Carlo is also out but for an unusual reason. Mike Finnegan (from Mike Finnegan's Garage) and Tony Angelo (from Stay Tuned) dropped back in the A/Gas class after a massive wheelie from Blasphemi! I am 77. At San Fernando Dragway, long ago, when fuel rails hit 165 they stopped running them. Of course, now, no one could have the Van Nuys Blvd. we had them and Sunset with the Witch Stand and June Ellens and McDonalds for cruising and racing. We also had a lot of dragstrips and oval tracks in L.A. then. What a time. Now, street cars are so fast it is unreal. Fuel rails have up to 12, 000 hp and cars on methanol are running over 5, 000 and can operate on the street not just for a few seconds. Amazing.

I'm almost 70 years old. I can remember when a top fuel car, (AA/FD) dipped into the 6's at 200mph was big news! NOW street cars are doing it! My, we've come a long way!! Awesome coverage!!👍👍

Well that police officer was totally out of line. first of all he asked who was in charge. nobody was in charge you walked onto private property and then gave the owner of the property s*** for what citizens were doing when they were leaving. Look officer if you don't want people standing in the middle of the road go and talk to the people that are standing in the middle of the road don't go and talk to the business owner that's minding his own business and doing nothing wrong or illegal. actually he's bringing money into your town.
