I just started smelting the gold dust I've been pulling out of the crushed quartz I've been collecting, and I follow your process (as best I can from your valuable collection of videos). Only problem I ran into was/is the length of time smelting. I definitely cut the smelt time way too short ( maybe 30-45 mins), but the result was the same as my 2hr smelt...nice lead triangle - no matte - glass slag. Now, I'm not sure what to do with the slag from my short smelts. Guess I'll just re-smelt them, but I'm not sure how successful it will be. Great videos. I'd be lost wo you.
