Thanks for the video. Now, it is May 2022 and I am prelaring myself for the HSK 4 in November 2022 using books designed for the old system, in fact this year's exams are based on the old system. Assuming that I pass tbe exam, what further course of action would you suggest, considering that I put value in certifying with diplomas what I learn? I would find it quite dull to buy the books for the old HSK 5, as they are probably worthless now (we cannot expect next year's HSK 5 to still be the old one). Would you have online courses that help me from the old HSK 4 directly to the new HSK 5?

This is about time, the current levels are non representative of CEFR and doubling every level was silly. I look forward to these new levels, it will be harder at first but i think it will be better after hsk 1 (new). Exciting!!! I am currently at HSK 4 but no way feel B2 level. I really look forward to this and think it will be better for learners and would actually make people progress easier!!!

Tbh I think this is good because I feel like the JLPT and HSK are not comparable to the CEFR as they're not as comprehensive. Hopefully this format will help better show your current level. I can see how annoying this may be from a job or school perspective when you're trying to get hired or get in so hopefully they adjust their criteria. It should go down since the criteria the job would need hasn't changed so if the new definition of that level is different then it should be matched according to that.

Do you know the exact date that the new HSK will be implemented? Is it starting from January?

Are they moving for example the old HSK 5 words to new HSK 4 or the extra Vocabulary for the new HSK4 will be the words that they haven’t announced yet?
Because I want to keep studying the old 1200words of HSK4 then study new words (2045)
which I hope will be the old Hsk5 words been pushed )
In other way I want to master the old HSK 5 words than take The new HSK4 exam
Or should I stop because maybe the old 1200 (HSK4) won’t be the same as before?

The new format might make foreigners lose appetite to learn Chinese....
I got Hsk-3.
I plan to take Hsk-4 if CI in Jakarta re-open, but when I heard this news some time ago, I doubt if I can pass new Hsk-4.
If it is still 2010 format, I'm quite optimistic to pass Hsk-4..

Nice video, thank you for the news. However, probably many people are going to ask you the same question of mine.
So, how is it for those who already have, for example, HSK2 and they want to proceed with HSK3? Should they start all over again? and furthermore, many of us paid for lessons and/or bought books on the HSK standard prep. course.
I mean, I'm currently studying for the old HSK 3 and I am already on the half of the path to complete it. What I should do now? stop studying or going on?
In addition, what about the exam fee now?
