Trongate vs Phalcon - the two fastest PHP frameworks go head to head!

I love Phalcon! Seriously! I think it's brilliant. One of the things I love about Phalcon is that it's built for speed. Not just page load speed but productivity speed too. I may not be a fan of Laravel or Symfony - but Phalcon is a different story. I think it's awesome! If I wasn't using Trongate then I would be using Phalcon.

Just for fun, I wanted to see if Trongate could keep up with the 'build a polling app' demo that's on the Phalcon homepage.

This is a productivity test. It's not a benchmarks test. I wanted to see which framework was the fastest for getting things done.

However, I'd like to say a word about benchmarks:

IF Phalcon is using PSR-4 autoloading (and I think it is) then I'm fairly confident that Trongate would beat Phalcon on a benchmarks test. That's because Trongate does NOT use PSR-4 autoloading - which gives Trongate a massive speed advantage over the other leading PHP frameworks.

However, IF Phalcon abandoned PS-4 then I think Phalcon would beat Trongate.

It's just a guess but that's what I think.

In any event, who cares about benchmarks anyway?

Remember folks, this test is entirely biased. It is NOT a fair test. It should NOT be taken too seriously. I cannot stress enough, I have HUGE respect for Phalcon. It's a good framework and although I think Trongate wins this challenge, I'm sure Phalcon could come back and win another day.

What security methods does your framework offer and what kind of encryption & password hash/salt is available out of the box?

Wow really impressive stuff. I will definitely try out Trongate. Personally I really like to use the CLI because it leaves everything open to automation and interop with any other program. There's a lot of power in the PHP ecosystem but the space is a bit dry and needs more innovation if you ask me. Please keep pushing :)

Phalcon is good but only for localhost. Not posible use in hosting

It is not about the looks. Phalcon seems better solution. Readibility and maintainability is CRUCIAL nowadays.

I was looking into tron gate for building a phpbb style forum but much faster. At first I was looking at phalcon but their forum project on github is multiple versions behind the current phalcon release and doesn't support php 8. Is there a trongate forum that currently exists? You make it look much easier to create since a lot of forum moderation requires the same kind of interface you used to enter your data and create the poll. Thanks!
