NEET PG results 2024: Mismatch of ranks, same percentile for 300 candidates new worries for students

As days pass by, candidates of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 are sharing their worries about the new irregularities in the results and ranks. The latest we hear is the mismatch of ranks allotted to the old and new roll numbers of the same candidates.

EdexLive learnt that although the candidate's name and passport photo were the same, there was a discrepancy in the ranks, according to the result screenshots that it has gained access to.

Other concerns include over 300 candidates getting the same percentile. A candidate joins us and shares reactions regarding the matter.

We strongly suspect that there is something wrong in neetpg exam procedure. Many students have same problem of lower ranks compared to expected score. This needs to be investigation thoroughly.

Many students have issue of incorrect number of attempt and left questions on their scorecard (as end of the exam summary it shows number of attempt and left) this discrepancy leads to whole scorecard being a sham 😢. Please publish this you can also verify this

Two shifts exam affected a lot, normalisation not transparent .. we are badly affected

One of my classmate did 150 correct and attempt 195 questions, got around 2100, 2nd shift and I did 160 correct, attemped 185 q and got 23000 rank 1st shift, speechless and helpless, did they multiplied rank by 10?

Results of the students of 2nd shift are very poor as compared to students of 1st shift. They should declare the ranks of students based on scoring the same marks in both shifts

A lot of rank variation for the same marks compared to the last year it not in 1000s there is a difference of 20000 variation in the rank comparable to last year

People who complain rank inflation as a scam, note these.

1) Number of WELL PREPARED candidates have increased in each score range. The reason is the new batch 2018, got substantially more time to complete all 19 subjects atleast once which the previous batches never got for their preparation last year because the exam was in March as opposed to August this year. Hence the number of candidates who score an average 500 marks have increased 2x. This inflation becomes severe as score keeps decreasing. This is not an error. It can't be. It is just plain logic.

2) Basic preparation was completely done by almost every candidate.

3) Paper was a bit tricky than the usual neet pg standard. So going by those revision notes by Zynerd and btr, an average student can easily crack neet pg, but that did not happen this year.

4) Of course normalisation too has caused a bit of inflation.

It is not garuntee that people who score in inicet will definitely fo the same in neet pg or vice versa.. both r different exams.. and gt scores comparision is baseless.. the exam day matters and that is different from a simple gt day..

Many good rankers who got better ranks in 23 and wanted to repeat for better seats in 24 there ranks are above 1 lac, how is this possible

Attempted 147 questions... showing only 120 questions in the card..wot happened with 27 questions..?and rank with old roll no is coming as expected

There are discrepancy with the published results vs recalled calculations.Need transparency in the results and nbe should re assess the results and publish new results.

majority of students gave importence to conducting exam on time very few students talked about the hidden disaster following normalization . Now after conducting exam students are raising theire voice for single shift exam . 😂
