This is a clip of George talking about the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992. He also touches on the loss of Anselmo. Although this clip is from 13 years after the concert and that time period, he gets a bit emotional while talking about that dark time in his life.

George michael was such a beautiful, beautiful soul. Such a brilliant artist with immense God-given talent. His voice alone could bring you to tears. I adore this artist and have immense respect and admiration for his talent. He genuinely seemed like a generous and loving human being. The fact that he gave so much money away to causes, charities and strangers tells you how much he really cared.

Lovely clip.

In my mind, if Anselmo had not got that horrible disease and died, I think George would still be with us today. It tortured him to the very end. In his "Red Line" interview he clearly cries when speaking about Anselmo. He was his one true love outside of his family.

George was immense, he stole the show through sheer talent and also because of his great respect for Freddie . God Bless George & Freddie 💚

An incredibly difficult time for George all round.

It speaks volumes for him as a man that he was able to get up on stage and do such a fantastic performance and tribute to Freddie.

Both George's partner and Freddie would have been nothing other than immensely proud of him that day.

RIP Freddie Mercury,
RIP George Michael.

George would have made a brilliant show even if he didn't do all that rehearsal. He is the greatest anyway, they don't, and no one ever will be able to sing like him ever again

What a humble, kind, sincere man, sharing something so personal and honest amidst his global stardom. So massively talented. I'm sure Freddie would have been deeply touched by George's words.

George Michael was amazing and beautiful in so many ways. He had the best talent of anyone and his voice just melted your heart. Every time I feel bad I just turned him on and listen to him, just his voice and videos I love him and I always will. I will never love anyone as much as him. he was really fantastic. I am so amazed every time I see him and just when I think I couldn’t love him anymore and be more impressed than I am But I always and more in love and impressed by him

Time - 13 years or more or less - doesn't matter when you have lost someone you loved so, it's not surprising he got emotional talking about this as he did. Just always wanted to give him a hug when he spoke about Anselmo. He was so real and honest about his pain, fears, insecurities and joys - just honest and so lovely as a human being.

I've lost track of how many times I watched the Freddie Tribute Concert, his performance of "Somebody To Love" was so perfectly poignant.

That song is by a country mile the best live performance I have ever seen.

When you hear the back story and understand the emotion that went into that performance, it is absolutely mind-blowing, he never left anything on the shelf here he gave everything

I tear up every time I watch it. He does such a wonderful job and I don't think anyone else could have sung it as beautifully or on point as George did. Freddie was surely smiling watching from above.
