The way he said “that’s not intentional” makes me feel sad how much people are making fun of his voice online. He trained his voice and spoke as Elvis for two years, and that’s not something you can just get rid of immediately.

I feel like I've know this man for my whole life and I never found him attractive, so why do I suddenly think he's the sexiest person alive???? It's the hair, the eyes, those leather pants, the tallness, the elegance, the shyness, the way he's so well-spoken, and most importantly: the performance he gave in the movie, which is one of the most magnetic and electric I've ever seen someone on screen!!!

Austin has set the bar soooo high for other actors playing the character of Elvis. I lost myself watching the movie and at one point couldn't tell the difference between Austin and the real Elvis. Austin deserves an award for sure and Baz too, telling the story in such an incredibly creative way. It was amazing! 👍🏻👍🏻

He seems like a terrific guy. Elvis was shy also. Had terrible stage fright before every appearance. It never went away. Then he said that after about the third song he’d relax. Austin mentioned in an interview that he used that knowledge to cope with performing like this and sort of thought about how did Elvis go out there when there were times he was having near panic attacks, he’d be so anxious. So, he used those things he could relate to with Elvis and it helped him get through those moments. Quite remarkable how he could so readily put himself into Elvis’s shoes and use those emotions to help himself. Elvis’s spirit must really be watching over him.

I grew up watching Austin star in small roles, so seeing him finally get his big star/leading role moment is truly inspiring. I wish nothing but the best for him 💞

Elvis was extremely shy and had panic attacks well into the 1970s before concerts. so Austin was well cast. Few who play Elvis do so well. and that includes the hundreds of thousands of elvis impersonator/tribute "artists"

He makes me feel better about being shy. I also really appreciated him sharing, “You can’t be other-conscious if you are self-conscious.”

They hired Polly Bennett to be his movement coach? This is the same coach Rami Malek had when he played Freddie Mercury. I hope he will get Oscar nod.

Yes, the leather pants, the ankle-high boots, paired with the denim shirt and navy jacket! Wow then to top it off Austin's blue eyes, his shy smile, and little notes of Elvis' tone in his words = dreamy. How can Austin not sound like Elvis a tiny bit esp after speaking like that for 2 years! People need to give him a break. This role for him is outstanding and he captured Elvis' way to a tee. Wish Austin all the best in all his future endeavors 🥰

My wife kept seeing the previews on TV and would say, he doesn't look like Elvis. We went to see the movie and after five minutes it she said Oh My God, and repeated that about ten times during the movie. It was great. Austin and Tom were incredible.

We are on a lovely new era of ultra beautiful and charming leading leading men. It’s truly an eye candy moment. They are so much more evolved, self-aware and friendly than male actors in the past.

I walked out of the movie theatre and said to my partner “ That is the most astounding acting performance I have seen in my life.” Also I did not know anything about Colonel Parker or Elvis Presley, what a tragic story, poor Elvis, really deeply moved by the whole movie and blown away by the performance of Austin.

I feel like he is a mixture of Elvis, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. This man is going to be the actor of the century.
