Croatian food in Zagreb, Croatia | Traditional Croatian food tour CHEESY Štrukli + SEAFOOD feast | Croatia food tour
We're in Zagreb, Croatia! Zagreb is the capital city of Croatia and is situated inland. Croatia's food culture is very regional and in this 2 part series we aim to show you dishes from Zagreb but also of the surrounding regions. We kick off at a seafood restaurant owned by a fishmonger in Dolac Market the main market in Zagreb. We tuck into a fresh seafood platter of prawns, calamari and sardines. Then it's off for Zagorski Štrukli, a must eat dish in Zagreb made up of fresh cottage cheese, cheese, eggs and sour cream rolled up in a special dough and baked at a local spot which specialises in all types of Štrukli including both savoury and sweet options. In our opinion, the traditional savoury version is the best. We take you to a Zagreb fast food institution for a ham and cheese toasted sandwich which uses budjola- a ham made from pork neck and smoked over beech wood before sharing an old school bakery which specialises in Croatian cakes. We hope you enjoy this Croatian food tour in Zagreb, Croatia! #croatianfood #croatia #croatiafoodtour

We’re Thomas and Sheena, food and travel fiends. We travel full time, hunting for the BEST local food in the world to showcase via our YouTube videos. Food is a window into a country's culture and one of the most exciting ways to get to know a place.
We're all about eating what and where the locals eat. You won't find food that's been created merely to be social media worthy on here- no rainbow bagels, gold leaf soft serves- just genuine, authentic food that tastes incredible.
From street food to mom and pop restaurants, we want to show you the best and most authentic food we find on our travels.
