If sitting quietly with your eyes closed doesn’t work for you, I get it. I’m always opening one eye to see what’s going on in the room, or checking the clock.

MEDITATION MOMENTS are active ways to meditate, for people like you and me. They bring mindfulness into your day whenever you need it.

3 ways to get MEDITATION MOMENTS into your day:

1️⃣ Use your hobby (🏃‍♀️🎨🏌️‍♀️🧑‍🍳🚴🎣🛼👨‍🌾) to center your mind on a single task.

Make running, cooking, rollerskating, or whatever you like to do, the ONLY thing you focus on for a few minutes.

2️⃣ Laser-focus on one of your senses (👀👃👂👄🖐).

FEEL the warmth from a cup of coffee, HEAR the sound of cars driving by, TASTE those chips and salsa before you take the next bite.

3️⃣ Take an everyday action 🚪 like opening a door and make it a reminder to be in the present.

So each time you turn on a light or look at the clock, remind yourself to breathe and come back to the present.

These MEDITATION MOMENTS will give you the same benefits as the “OMMMM” meditation.

I used to be able to meditate so easily...not so much anymore. But these are some great ideas. Mandala dot painting is something I stumbled onto that DEFINITELY makes for a good meditative state. And I am NOT artistic.

The first part explains why i like sewing painting and other more default things. I can do it for hours without breaking. Right now I’ve been learning guitar. Most days maybe 3/4 hrs. But i may have adhd and just hyper focus bc it’s fun. It makes me feel good though 🤷🏾‍♀️

Love this video, things not many people know or talk about. I was smelling roses this way yesterday - 1 minute gave more than an hour of trying to sit still (and falling asleep 😆) 🧡🌞

Thank you for this. I always explained my passion for mountaineering as it being the ONE TIME in my life I can quiet my drunken squirrel mind, focus on the present, and truly be in the moment. No grocery lists or to dos. If I miss the tiny warnings my body is giving to adjust clothing layers, eat, drink, watch each and every footstep, pay attention to changes in weather, I could literally die. It's forced meditation on my body and nature. But I can't climb a snowy mountain every day, so I'll try to set up a trigger like the doorway one. Thanks!
