True story. The Mazda CX-5 is really dull in many ways, but that's part of what's great about it. Also it's mega to drive. Watch Mark unpick the whole thing...

In the USA its available with a 2.5 turbo petrol up to 250hp and 430nm torque. That would be nice.

You should of compared the cx5 fuel economy to a Vw Tiguan, the T roc is a different class, a good bit lighter therefore it will be more economical naturally.

Just bought a CX5 about a month ago, absolutely love it, it’s a great vehicle, I traded in my Subaru for it, and while I enjoyed that car, I don’t miss it at all. CX 5is really a wonderful vehicle

Love Mark's reviews. They strike a good balance between useful information and downright hilarious. I've actually stopped bothering with Carwow reviews, great as they are.

Mazda are not a VAG product so it's interesting straight away . Brilliant idea to not have a touchscreen entertainment control ( are you looking SEAT ) so you concentrate on driving . Great review as usual

We have a 2020 2.2 Diesel auto, it’s brilliant. Love every moment of driving .

"Broom broom broom" made me properly laugh -- they should adopt this over their awful zoom zoom nonsense. You're the best reviewer out there, Mark.

Engines aside, Mazda is a massively under appreciated brand for me. I loved my "3". Never should have gotten rid of it. It's easy to suck people with with "turbo" talk, but as a whole package, I found the 3 to be a lot more than what you could put into figures.

Good review, very entertaining as always. Good car, shame about engines though.

I am on my 3rd mazda CX5 and I absolutely love it it is dependable, comfortable, it runs very well and it looks like a luxury vehicle, especially the interior design compare to its competition class and I have been happy with it. Most of all the price is economical here is the US.

Great review as always. The CX-5 has always been a great car but the loss of the diesel engine probably hasn't helped it's cause. Car still looks great in the flesh though especially in the red paintwork, Mazda's are pretty dam bomb proof as well!

The best last decade's infotainment system you can buy because no one makes them anymore. The material quality and build of the cabin is without doubt very good though.

What I like about Mazda is that the CX-30 looks different from the CX-5 when other makes, in particular VAG cars, they all look the same, just different sizes. The CX-5 is pretty old now but still looks good! Some VAG models are boring when they are launched!

I've had my CX-5 for 3.5 years now, and i totally agree with everything in this video. I would prefer a bigger infotainment screen and yes the engine does need a turbo, but apart from that i still love it. Great to drive, very reliable, comfortable and has all the space i need. I like the Peugeot 3008 but i'm put off by the touchscreen and the tiny steering wheel.

Mark, I always have to watch your reviews at least twice because, living in Newcastle, I'm always concentrating on where you are driving not what you're saying. This time round you actually drove up my street. To quote your good self. Mint!
On a car-related note, I love the look of the latest Mazdas. The CX-30 is on the shortlist.

Very good host/presenter and nice video editor too, but the natural charisma and likeable nature of the host is what is leading me to watching more of your videos and even subscribing, that and i love this car and will most likely get it as my first car but will check out the car he mentioned he thinks he prefers, thanks

I love my 6 year old Mazda 6 diesel in auto, can’t beat its driving dynamics and its fuel economy in its own class

I read that the diesels will be back in April, which will fix the engine issues (to some extent).

Mark may love the Peugeot 3008, but we all know that the CX-5 will still be going strong and utterly reliable long after the Peugeot has bitten the dust.
