Excellent video. I too wondered why they shipped me the carb inlet adapter given I ordered a kit specifically for a generator that was already dual-fuel, so it already had the LPG inlet to the carb. You've saved me time by proving there is no need to install the adapter!

Where you connected at 2:30 is actually not a T but s sediment trap. You should have your line connected to another T then a straight line below it to catch sediment.

I just got the Champion Dual Fuel 100153 and did this same set up. Mounted the new regulator, disconnected the LP hose and connected the new one. It works perfect. I got the regulator kit in the comment section. It came with the regulator for natural gas and came with the propane regulator. I had a question for the regulator seller if I needed the LP regulator also with the NG regulator (I do) he got right right back to me with the answer. He also recommended 1/2 or 3/4 ID hose. Easy set up just take your time to do it nice and right. I'm ok with losing a bit of power with natural gas but I don't have to go and fill and transport gasoline, but still can if needed. Thanks for the video it was a huge help. I had to use a bit of choke when starting but ran fine.

the ventury in the kit is larger so more flow gets to the carb. You run to lean with the smaller ventry for the propane because it is much higher pressure. You can melt engine parts that way. Your generator will have a much shorter life if not immediate failure. You really need the ventury from the kit!

Actually picked one up off a curbside trash pile that was missing the airbox and gas tank. I hooked a battery up and sprayed some carb cleaner in it and it fired right up. Got the new airbox delivered and plan on doing this to it to run on Natural gas or propane only. I'm sure the carbs are all gummed up. I'll save that for another day and dollar! Huge score for me. As I was limping through power outages with my 25 year old Coleman Powermate Briggs and Stratton.

good job. I did the same with a Westinghouse Igen4500DF. Probably voided the warranty and I don't get as much power but I had to do it since I have natural gas.

Just did this today with a $60 regulator I got on ebay, works great. The propane and gas works without having to do any adjustments as the hose comes with a regulator for propane already. Still able to start my AC on natural gas. Thanks for letting us know we don't have to install the suction adapter.

Thank you very much, I have the exact same Champion model! I'm ordering the parts right after this message

I was just about to try the same mod on my brand new generator (never used so far) but I am concerned about the fact that gas runs the engine very dry, especially in the valve seats. I must come up with an answer to that or I will face some parts of the engine running hotter than they should. In the old days, we used to have lead in the fuel which would deposit on the valve seats and guides creating a protective coating, with the advent of unleaded they have come up with some substitute additives but with gas, we would non benefit from either of those.

I noticed the kit number you gave has a small regulator in it that I don’t see on your generator. Also the kit does not show the adjustment screw on top of the large regulator. Can you fill me in on this kit? I have the same generator, Champion 200155. Thanks

what size hose did you use from the house 1/2 or 3/4

There are 2 hoses attached to the carburetor. One small and one large. Which one is the one to hook up the natural gas to?

I saw your video, great idea I thought of putting a "Y" connector as to have both propane or NG going in where the propane normally feeds. What do you think?

I think I’ll try this with my Westinghouse Wgen9500DF. I’ve already identified the low pressure gas line.

Any thought to putting a y hose connector with a valve inline so you can swap back to the original regulator If using gas or lp? Seems it would be cheaper than the parts to hook the new regulator to lp and gives you more flexibility.

Love the video. My thoughts are to buy a Garretson KN or comparable regulator on line much cheaper instead of buying an expensive kit with extra parts you won't use. You can find rubber hose and quick disconnect fittings online too a lot cheaper than buying a kit. Great job tho.
