What you said at the end is absolutely right. Doing these problems require a ton of algebra. I learned more algebra in my Calculus class then I did in my Algebra class.

I know they are there, but lots of videos are missing and not in the playlist :( and when ever I do a search on youtube, it doesn't necessarily direct me to the correct video that's for calc 3, but however, into another video that has almost same material but for algebra or whatever which isn't helpful in terms of calc3. how did the derivative of x+4 become 1? help im kinda dumb

can anyone help me understand why you can change one of these problems from quotient form to product form for the derivative, but not the other.
1) x/x^2+1    <cannot be solved by changing to product form>(requires quotient rule)
2) 3/x^2+1    <can be solved by changing to product form> (does not require quotient rule)    why???? please help.
