I am currently in the wild jungles of Monstercatland. And have not seen any signs of the wild Batman, so I must delve deeper into the wilderness in search for this majestic creature.

I love how DotEXE can change up his style, and still manages to nail every track he makes. This is just awesome.

I'm happy that DotEXE is now active on the label and even this track! I was expecting trap, but breakbeat is fine. You've done well, Scott!

Rootkit + Danyka Nadeau + Deep House = ? Seems like a diverse release from Rootkit.

I'm sorry (clears throat) WHEN DID THESE ARTISTS BECOME SO FUCKING AMAZING?!?! I think monstercat cast a spell on its artists and raised their badass level to the roof. I'm speechless. Dotexe is probably the most improved artist on monstercat. This song is just so...GENIUS. I've had a loss for words. I think that monstercat is going through a golden age.

DotEXE has stuck with us for so long... He's been with us since album 4. And they just released album 18. Holy crap.

So lets see, this song.  Well for starters, MASSIVE improvement from Inside Out. I adore the breakbeat style and is very expertly produced, as I'd expect nothing less from DotEXE.  A few small problems include that it is a bit repetitive, but the repetition is quite nice, so its fine. Another is that it feel like the entire song is just 1 big drop with no buildup, only with a small break in-between.  Maybe its just a different layout that DotEXE was trying, but I feel like there could've been a longer melodic section before a second drop.  Overall I give it an 8.5/10, wonderful work from a wonderful artist

And once I saw that Rootkit's next release was a Prog House, I found that kind of surprising.  I expected him to become a new Feint/Muzzy kind of artist who only exclusively makes DnB/Drumstep.  However, I'm sure it will be great due to Rootkit's wonderful production skill and brilliant melodic style.  And having Danyka Nadeau is just a bonus to go along with that.

Oh man, this brings back so many memories, of me sitting with my controller playing Modern Combat 4 on Android, recking scrubs, listening to this song back to back so many times... Those were good times :) Thanks for the memories Monstercat!

Well, I used to do review comments back in the day before New Artist Week on my old account, and I'm gonna start again. To kick it off I get to review one of my favourite Monstercat artists to date. DotEXE has impressed me from his first release, but he kinda' threw me off with his generic trap style recently. His true talent is shown in the imaginative track Run Away From Me and has grown to influence his ever evolving style.

This track is battle themed like the rest from this week, and I like that the releases have synergy. The introduction is very well produced, the orchestral overlay with a battle raging in the background really sets the stage for the vocal sample that has very well thought out mastering to harmonize with the overall tone of the track. The sudden breakbeat hits like a truck with punchy drums and a bass that really captures the clash of steel one can expect in the battle the song is conveying. The breakdown and layering are also very well structured so they provide a captivating drop because it doesn't become cluttered, yet still remains exciting. The vocal interjection, though a repeat of an earlier vocal sample, is done in a way so that the drop can continue to flow. My two pieces of harsh criticism are the use of the a repetitive and somewhat needless vocal clipping to add to the percussion and that the drop isn't changed at all the second time around. However, it ties in nicely so I can't give it too much hate because it's so well done and the climax also produced well. All in all, this is a really great track from DotEXE that brings back my love for his originals. I would like to see some more of his masterpiece remixes, too.

I remember when the Monstercat videos didn't have previews. Damn that feels like ages ago, but I guess I'll start talking about them now. Rootkit has showed a ton of promise from his recent DnB and Drumstep tracks that caught my eye. A house track with vocals by one of my favourite vocalists since Veela could really be a hit. The title, Real Love, could also make for an interesting mood within the track. I hope Rootkit can demonstrate a feeling of "real love" and I will be interested in just how he'll do it if he does. I speculate it will be something upbeat like a Hellberg track judging from his previous releases, but we won't know until it comes. Until then, I can't wait to hear it.

(I've been gone for a week and will review all the songs I missed, but won't talk about the next release on these ones because there already out)
Okay, I liked Inside Out. I thought it was a pretty good comeback. But when I heard this, I was reminded that DotEXE can make some AMAZING STUFF! The dark voice before and during the drop is just so cool. When he says let me hear your battle cry, I just wanna fist pump. Great job DotEXE.
