Every single time I hear that little girl my heart breaks. It takes me to a time in my childhood when I sat on my front porch terrified I wouldn’t see my mother again, and that was only 3 hours. I cried so hard I couldn’t catch my breath. This little girl will never forget that day. I honestly hope she stays in this country and endures, so she can grow up and get justice, so she can heal.
