I still have a scar from a hot glue burn from 1991! I was using a high-temp glue gun, and somehow dripped a huge glob of glue on my thumb knuckle. Without thinking, I ran it under cool water to solidify the glue and then pulled it off. The entire skin and fat layers pulled off with it. I could literally see down to the muscle, since it was such a thin layer...

It was creepy as hell.
