Learn how you and your cat can bring all the steps together for a successful asthma inhaler therapy treatment using the AeroKat* chamber with this step by step guide from a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviorist.

Feline or cat inhalers require the use of a mask and chamber to deliver the medication to a cat with asthma. Your cat too can learn to use the aerosol chamber mask to get away from the side effects of systemic medications.

in this final video of our Teach Any Cat AeroKat* chamber series, you will learn how to incorporate the lessons from each of the steps so that your cat is confident and successful in their use of inhaled therapy.

The videos are very helpful. I finally got her to inhale the medication today. I have to say she doesn’t voluntarily put her face in the mask. I have to hold it there. Also, my cat is overweight so I can’t give her that many treats. Now I have to work on her weight.

Great instructions, How long does it usually take to teach all of these steps to the cat? My cat is really a sensitive soul :)

How can you keep depressing the inhaler, it costs a fortune. I first used this with my asthmatic cat years ago. We did it with two people and held her. After a few times she let me do it alone but she never put her face in it and she was ok with doing it that way. Now I have a cat with toxo pneumonia and possible asthma. I do not have time to do extensive training. He needs the meds asap.

My cat uses the flovent inhaler. My vet says I can give him an albuterop inhaler when he is having an asthma attack. My question is, do I have to clean the aerokat in between each use? If I use the aerokat primarily for flovent, but he has an asthma attack, can I use the albuterol in the same chamber without having to clean the chamber?
