I really appreciate the openness in acknowledging that while daggers are better with bleeds, you can still have a functional build for a weapon you like without falling into the “meta”. Well done!

I ran dual daggers (starting + reduvia) with my bandit / arcane run through. Was able to stick with it through over half the game before swapping to curved swords with pure bleed focus. Still keep reduvia on me for range. Definitely one of the hardest weapon sets to use

so glad you’re putting a spotlight on the black knife. black knife is such a good weapon, and i cannot stress that enough. in previous games i always enjoyed casters or caster/melee hybrid builds, and the weapon arts of elden ring make it so easy to put an emphasis on melee with really cool mqgic stuff going on. so far my favorite build is a faith/quality. there’s so many good faith weapons to choose from in this game as a primary, but i always have black knife as a secondary to swap to. that weapon art is so good for a mid ranged attack, the ice spear of faith builds. also worthy of note is the blade of calling

I decided to try this build out for my first playthrough of the game and let me tell you if you want a more challenging experience this build will be so rewarding. The Malina fight was so freaking rough but I ended up soloing it with no summons and was left feeling Achieved. Thank you Fextra for posting the build excited to beat the game with it

Omggg ty for answering my request for Black Knife Assassin build! Wanted to see how well you'd set it up so l could see any particular armor and talisman pieces l could be missing in order to make it more solid for the Assassin Ninja vibe since that's my main playstyle in any game. I had the same mindset saying that it definitely needed more poise to withstand atks as well and now l can change few things around to help with that. Thanks again for making the build and I'll still try to come up with more ideas for future builds as well, huge fan of the channel! 👍🏾😎

Never saw this video until now, in fact when I was building my dagger character I didn't watch any dagger build videos. I am so pleased to see how similar our thoughts were on this build as it shows how far I have progressed since my fist playthrough of the game.

Needless to say, this is an excellent video.

Thank you so much for your builds. I just beat the game for the first time and finally watching YouTube Elden Ring content to see what I missed. I will be going into NG+ using your Thunder Spear build and a lot more knowledge on enemies and game mechanics to make my second playthrough a much more fun and better experience.

I have never clicked on one of your build videos so fast. I will be trying out this build for sure.
Edit : I've had the same problem with the black knife set and I ALSO decided to use the fire prelate gear to give me better poise. It looks really good and substantially increases your poise

I also recommend having a +25 misericorde with parry on it in any dagger build (you can put the affinity that you prefer)
Misericorde has the highest critical in the game with 140, which means if you backstab an enemy or hit that parry you will be destroying most enemies

Wow, you or if there’s more of you, you’re great, truly great. This was an amazing and needed non-bleed knife build. Thank you and thanks for all you’re doing for the community. Love.

Thank you so much for these amazing videos man! It’s awesome to see the sheer variety of builds this game can offer and you do a great job showcasing how they’re all viable. I’ve been doing a standard str build my first run thus far but can’t wait to test some these out in future play throughs. Keep up the quality content!

Another great build! A non-bleed dagger method I've found incredibly effective is the Misericorde dagger with the glintblade phalanx AoW. The AoW staggers most enemies in 2-3 casts and then I can get the juicy crit hits from the dagger's boosted crits.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who uses the Fire Prelate armor to boost poise while maintaining the look of the Black Knife Set. Also, the Fingerprint Helm allows the shroud's hood to be pulled up, which is another cool way to have that with a different look.

I would strongly reccomend adding a Misericode with flame of the redmanes in a slot, having the ability to stagger almost anything in 2 hits and hit for a 140 crit is very handy. Especially if you go bleed you can stagger and then go ham on them while they are downed, great build though once again!

Glad to see ideas I already had are actually good ones. Will be implementing some into the build I already have!

Hope the Colossus Guardian is up next, really hyped for that one!

Besides that, great build once again, I love that you always build a character around a special theme, it adds a certain flavor to the videos!

Learned so much from this video, the way you explain it makes it better to have an idea of what the assassin build really is

I decided to run this build through my entire 3rd playthrough. Managed to beat the game including all bosses without summons. I ran the entire Black Knife set to be able to have lightroll. It was insanely challenging at some bosses, but it was extremely satisfying. Especially after 10+ hours of Malenia.
