Anita Baker turned 65 just a few days ago and can still sing and give full tour performances. Imagine how difficult of a task it is to be singing professionally for 40+ years and still be able to deliver a vocal performance. In her case, this is not even a matter of performance, it is probably more about the fact that NFC organizers recognized what a legend she is and called her out of respect first and foremost. So, when you bash her singing, and she is singing outside on a cold and windy weather, keep in mind that you are bashing the very singing that influenced generations of artists such as Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Ledisi and tons of others. You’re dismissed. Thanks and bye.
