I've got Mulberry trees all around my property and they are well used by the critters around here. When I was growing up the house we lived in had a White Mulberry Tree in the yard. The fruit when ripe was white and very sweet. I haven't seen one like it since. Wishing you all the best in your recovery. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.

Wow, this was awesome. I definitely think I will have to give this a try next Spring. I have a plum tree I want to do some pruning on and using the trimmings like this would be great. Thanks for educating us on the miracles of nature!

Hiya Greg, awesome video, I love eating mulberries, I have several trees, the birds love them too. They Leave their calling cards on my windshields of my cars and trucks.🤬
The trees make awesome shade, you just don't want to park your car under it when it has fruit. 😁
I hope you have a awesome blessed day.
Cya! 😺🐟out!

I found some mulberry trees growing in a perennial bed 20 or so years ago. Dug em up and potted all 3 into a large pot and they grew great for a few years. Of course they got way to big, so I planted them in a wooded field in back of the house. No more room in the yard for trees! All 3 grew together into one large tree and of course the birds love the berries. Now, every year I am constantly pulling out small seedlings from the flower beds. 50 or so years ago I found Serviceberries (Amelanchier canadensis) growing in that wooded field, dug several up and planted them around the property. They're all still thriving and when the berries begin to ripen, attract Cedar Waxwings, a beautiful bird which only comes by when the Serviceberries do their thing. And of course the mass of white flowers in spring are beautiful as well. Didn't have any berries this year however. A warm March and April budded the trees up a few weeks earlier than normal, then just as the flower buds began to swell, a cold, snowy period did them all in. They leafed out fine, but no berries. First time since the late 1960's

It will be interesting to watch the progress of your cuttings. You might be the new Monty Don of Canada.

I grew up with a mulberry tree in my back yard and as kids we loved to pick the berries and grandma made jelly and sauce from them. Eating them right off the tree was nice also. BUT when I got my car I hated it. Birds swarmed from miles away to eat berries and the droppings on car paint were permanent!
