NATO isolated by Russia in Indo-Pacific? Western Bloc looking for 'new friends' | Watch

NATO secretary Jens Stoltenberg, who is on an Asia visit, said China's growing assertiveness and collaboration with Russia pose a challenge not only to Asia but also to Europe. Stoltenberg added that NATO is seeking more 'friends' in the Indo-Pacific. China has hit back at the NATO chief for labelling it as a threat to Asia. Stoltenberg also said that China is increasingly investing in nuclear weapons and long-range missiles without providing transparency or engaging in meaningful dialogue on arms control for atomic weapons. He also called out Beijing for its policy of coercion in Taiwan and the South China Sea.

Russia and China should absolutely strengthen ties. If NATO can have an alliance of 30 countries than Russia and China have every right to form an alliance of their own.

If this NATO chief is saying that Russia-China ties a big challenge for them, it tells exactly why NATO is formed. It is NOT a defensive alliance but an alliance intended to unsettle countries and leaders that do not agree with them, particularly the US. In fact, why is NATO concern about China mass arms production? I thought is was the duty of the IAEA function? Furthermore, how did China post a challenge to NATO? I would leave Russia for now. Nevertheless, which NATO country did China threaten? I am just confused.
